Hey Rick, I really like this painting! I love what you have done with the center stage, lighthouse, and the texture of the rock, and the splashing of the waves! Also love the background! Very nice job! I would like to invite you to join our group, Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery. I will guarantee I will put you in the FEATURED PHOTOS section of our site. Keep up the great work, and would be pleased to have your artwork in our group!

Rick Huotari

Professional Artist/Illustrator/Designer His artistic ability was noticed at an early age from his teachers. Rick was predicted to be a professional artist by age 7. Growing up in central Wisconsin, he took part in outdoor activities regularly. His style is realism with a slightly surreal color palette. Each piece favors rocks and water as part of the design due to the appreciation of design and texture and depth. Rick draws inspiration for his style from childhood memories of being in the outdoors and individual studies with Morten Solberg, Mike Capser and Lee Mothes. He works mainly in acrylics and watercolor/goache. He has been juried on the Portal Wisconsin website, numerous northern art shows and individual shows at galleries....
